The team behind the Tsujita establishments can really do no wrong! They do top notch food, consistent, in every one of their restaurants! They have 3 Omakase options- I went for the smallest one the Osaka and it was more than enough for me! Everything was excellent! Except for the handrolls that were more like tacos, pretty, but fell apart and difficult to eat. They also just had too much stuff on them that overpowered the fish. Included in the tempura course was a piece of fish. I have tried lots of tempura over the years but have never been served fish. It was salty, crispy, yet moist and so so good!!!! Excellent sake options, not great wine options.

Tsujita sushi reopened and somewhat rebranded itself. It no longer is just a high-quality sushi experience, but the omakase menu includes tempura. The price point now is better, but offering less exotic cuts in the daily chef choice. Sushi is always excellent and fresh. Definitely worth a return visit.

Their lunch omakase is $58 and includes sashimi, chawanmushi, tempura, nigiri, handroll and ice cream. We added on toro and uni, because what's an omakase without toro and uni? For the price, it was pretty good and filling. Their tempura was really good. It was crispy and has good size shrimp, not the skinny finger shrimp. Their miso salmon handroll was really tasty and the fried garlic added the extra umami to an already flavorful handroll. Staff was great, friendly and attentive. Bathrooms had toto automatic toilets which are nice. Would definitely come back again. Also want to come back to try their tempura sets and chirashi bowls.

Came here for their omakase, which was a pretty good deal ($49 pp). We got here for a 7 pm reservation and shortly after the place was pretty full, booth and bar seating. They only had one waiter going around so service wasn't great but makes sense when they're 8 tables. The omakase itself was good for the price, you get a lot of food including appetizers, hand rolls and dessert. If you're looking for a casual omakase place without breaking the bank, I'd recommend checking them out.

We live on Sawtelle so we frequently go here when I crave good sushi. They recently changed the concept in which they only have 3 choices in the menu and all omakase. If you want more sushi you can just order more in the end. I feel that you get the value for your money and the sushi are of great quality. The only thing that I wish they'll change is the Nori they use. It's not crispy and in the end it's hard to bite into it. We really love this place and I highly recommend it. P.s. some if the pictures are from their old concept.

The sushi here was so well priced and fresh! We got the Tokyo set for $89. The food was very filling and the fish was high quality. We came on a Thursday evening and there were a fair amount of people even when we walked in right when they opened. The sushi chef is very energetic and the service is fantastic - our waitress proactively remade my green tea when the ice melted. Love this place! If I lived in LA I would be a regular here.
